The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) will now offer bonuses up to INR 35 lakhs to buyer-side apps ahead of the festive season.
Key Highlights
- A bonus of INR 35 lakhs to consumer-facing apps clocking 1,00,000 orders a week.
- INR 5 lakh bonus for buyer-side apps that clock 50,000 orders a week.
- Inventive of INR 15 per delivery to Logistics Service Providers.
The ONDC Network has introduced an incentive scheme to offer bonuses to buyer-side apps along with increasing the number of discounts that can be offered to consumers.
The quantum of the bonus would be linked to the weekly orders a buyer-side app processes.
The bonuses range from INR 5 lakhs for apps clocking 50,000 orders a week and can go up to INR 35 lakhs for consumer-facing apps that clock 1,00,000 orders in a week.
The threshold to avail incentives has been raised from a minimum order value of INR 200 to INR 250.
The new incentive scheme will come into effect from 3rd October onwards.
Earlier, the network had launched a pan-network Gift Card to capture the uptick in demand around festive seasons.
Incentives for businesses on ONDC

Apart from bonuses to buyer-side apps, the revised incentive scheme also includes-
1. Reimbursements to live B2B seller apps on the network, to be passed on to sellers for the new buyers acquired. The minimum order value for this should be INR 5000 including the shipping charges with a cap on 50 new buyers in a month.
2. An increase in the number of discounts that can be offered to consumers within a week from 2 to 5.
3. An incentive of INR 15 per delivery to delivery apps on ONDC functioning as Logistics Service Providers up to 10,00,000 deliveries.
The incentives provided to Logistics Service Providers are a first, and would make the network better poised to take the food delivery giants like Zomato and Swiggy head-on.
The incentive scheme would also allow businesses on the ONDC network to offer discounts to their customers, leading to lower costs for the consumer.
