Banks in India will remain closed on Saturday (July 13), as it is the second Saturday of this month. According to the RBI Bank Holiday Calendar, both public and private sector banks in India remain closed on all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
One must note that even on bank holidays people can conduct their routine financial transactions and make payments online via net banking as online banking services will continue to operate as usual. In the month of July, Banks will remain closed on different days in various Indian cities on account of certain occasions including Beh Dienkhlam, MHIP Day, Kang (Rathajatra), Drukpa Tshe-zi, Harela, Muharram/Ashoora/U Tirot Sing Day in July.
It is always good to check the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Holiday calendar to know when banks in different parts of India will remain closed to avoid any inconvenience at the last moment.
Bank holidays are not the same across all the states in India but vary from state to state depending on the regional festivals.
