The Centres of Excellence (CoEs) will focus on specific domains aimed at enhancing financial and tax literacy, as stated by ICAI President Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal on Monday.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is set to establish 11 centres of excellence over the next three years, while also striving to position India as a global leader in accounting and auditing.

The institute is actively engaged in advancing the concept of an International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). Agarwal stated that the primary objective is to establish the nation as a global hub for accounting and auditing.
Additionally, the institute plans to host the World Forum of Accountants (WOFA) in January 2025. Agarwal mentioned that the institute intends to establish eight more Centres of Excellence (CoEs) over the next three years. Currently, two CoEs are operational in Hyderabad and Jaipur, with another set to commence in Kolkata in January 2025.
The CoE in Hyderabad will host its inaugural residential program titled ‘Empowering Trusted Advisors: Unlocking the Potential of Family Enterprises’ in January. The ICAI boasts a membership exceeding 400,000 individuals, as reported by PTI.
