The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is set to host the World Forum of Accountants on the theme “Accountability Meets Innovation (AI): For A Sustainable Planet”.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is set to organise the World Forum of Accountants (WOFA) 2025 at Yashobhoomi, India International Convention and Exhibition Centre (IICC) in New Delhi.
The event will be inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The event is scheduled to take place from January 31 to February 2, 2025.
The theme for the event is “Accountability Meets Innovation (AI): For A Sustainable Planet,” which resonates with the ambitious objectives set forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It underscores the importance of development, economic advancement, social progress, environmental sustainability, and effective governance.
According to a statement from the ICAI, the WOFA 2025 event is expected to attract over 8,000 delegates from both national and international backgrounds, including representatives from international accounting organisations, firms, regulatory bodies, economists, academics, business leaders, policymakers, standard setters, and distinguished global figures within the accountancy profession.

WOFA will delve into the critical intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and environmental sustainability. The forum will explore AI’s transformative potential to address global environmental challenges, such as climate change, pollution, and resource scarcity. By examining AI-driven solutions, WOFA aims to inspire innovative approaches to environmental management and conservation.

CA Naresh Kansal added that he is particularly keen to learn about the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, which hold the potential to revolutionise decision-making processes and ensure the long-term viability of firms.
